Section 1
Overview: the compact boat with the big attitude
The 1550 Fisher carries the page headline THE COMPACT BOAT WITH THE BIG ATTITUDE. Stabicraft describes it as the company's biggest selling model ever, a boat that redefined compact vessel performance and versatility, and calls it a pocket rocket with a features list as long as your arm for reaching the most remote locations. The model page presents it as a trailerable fishing platform built around a helm station and a walk-thru windscreen, and offers it in four packages, Adventure, Sportfish, Profish and Offshore, so buyers can step from a bare alloy adventure boat up to a fully rigged fishing rig.

The four packages: Adventure, Sportfish, Profish and Offshore
Four packages are described. Adventure is presented exclusively in bare alloy with powder coated surfaces throughout, covering the portside seat base, dash, storage shelf, footrest, cargo barrier and bow step, with the walkthrough windscreen standard. Sportfish builds on Adventure with a rear boarding ladder and handrail, Fish Pro seats, deck wash and a 70L Icey-Tek cooler with squab. Profish adds a 60L underfloor fuel tank, a rod and canopy arch with eight rod-holders, a bimini with canvas top, a welded-in live bait tank, and port and starboard boarding platforms with handrails. Offshore adds full all-round canvas protection.

Standard fittings and the walk-thru windscreen
Standard fittings named on the page include a fold-up walk-thru windscreen, an upholstered skipper seat, three tackle drawer units, and a foldable, powder coated, upholstered queen seat. A 70L (18gal) split lid Icey-Tek cooler with a padded seat top doubles as seating. Hull and buoyancy elements listed for the model are Arrow Pontoons, Life Ring Protection, Wing Style Coamings and Closed Cell Baffling. Stabicraft singles out the walk-thru windscreen as the feature that keeps viewing largely unobstructed when closed while making bow access, in the company's words, "unparalleled in the marine industry".
